IMC Providers and Staff


David L. Katz, MD, MPH, FACP, FACPM

Director, Integrative Medicine Center

Dr. Katz is a nationally renowned authority on nutrition, weight control, and the prevention of chronic disease. He has practiced primary care/Internal Medicine for over 15 years, and early in his career worked part-time as an emergency physician during a 6-year period.

He is an Associate Professor, Adjunct, of Public Health, and formerly the Director of Medical Studies in Public Health, at the Yale University School of Medicine. Dr. Katz directs the Yale-Griffin Prevention Research Center which he co-founded in 1998. As director of this clinical research laboratory dedicated to chronic disease prevention, Dr. Katz has served as Principal Investigator for numerous community and clinical trials.


Lisa Rosenberger, ND, MS, LAc

Acting Associate Director

Dr. Rosenberger is a graduate of the National College of Natural Medicine in Portland, Oregon. She graduated with a Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine, Masters of Science in Oriental Medicine and Honors in Research in 2008. She is currently licensed as a Naturopathic physician and Acupuncturist. Dr. Rosenberger’s undergraduate studies in Biology were started at Elizabethtown College in Pennsylvania and completed at the University of Maryland.

She has a special interest in understanding and treating chronic disease. She believes in reestablishing balance in the body by assessing the body's organ systems from both Naturopathic and Chinese medicines perspective. Her areas of specialty are drainage therapies, homeopathy, hydrotherapy, nutrition, acupuncture and Western and Chinese herbs. She completed two years of residency training in Integrative Medicine in Florida and Connecticut.


Holly Major, MSN, APRN-BC

Nurse Practitioner

Holly Major is an Adult Nurse Practitioner with over 23 years experience in healthcare. She obtained her RN degree at Southern Connecticut State University and her Masters degree in Nursing at Western Connecticut State University. In addition to seeing patients at the Integrative Medicine Center, Holly sees patients in her Griffin based Primary Care practice in Oxford, Connecticut. Holly is the Manager of Evidence Based Care and Therapeutic Touch Coordinator at Griffin Hospital and is the previous Education Trustee for Nurse Healers - Professional Associates International. Holly has a holistic approach to patient care with a special interest in stress management, meditative practices and energy medicine.
